Rogue Design Group — Phoenix, AZ
AV, low voltage, and theatrical systems design for integrators, MEP firms, and architectural teams who need documentation done right — coordinated, complete, and buildable.
What We Do
RDG provides contract design and documentation services for AV integrators with overflow capacity needs, MEP and architecture firms requiring AV and low voltage coordination, and owners who need an independent design advocate on complex technology-driven projects.
01
Full system design and documentation for commercial networks, physical security, and access control. Platform-agnostic design that specifies a complete, buildable system — not just a product list.
02
Commercial AV system design from concept through construction documents. Corporate, education, hospitality, and performance environments. Equipment specifications, signal flow, rack design, and complete drawing packages.
03
Stage lighting design and documentation, audio system design for performance, and rigging and theatrical systems coordination. Designed for theaters, PACs, houses of worship, and multipurpose venues where performance demands precision.
04
Production-grade drawing packages that give contractors what they need to build from. Plan views, elevations, rack drawings, schedules, and details — coordinated and complete before they leave the desk.
05
AV and low voltage coordination directly inside the project Revit model — not as a separate background. Clash detection, MEP coordination, and model-native documentation for projects where the BIM standard matters.
06
Dedicated acoustic modeling for performance and speech intelligibility using industry-standard software. Speaker placement, coverage prediction, and SPL analysis before anything gets installed — because guessing is expensive.
Who We Serve
Conference rooms, boardrooms, lobbies, and collaborative workspaces where AV and technology infrastructure need to perform reliably and coordinate cleanly with the architecture.
K–12 and higher education environments — classrooms, auditoriums, athletic facilities, and campus-wide technology systems designed to support how institutions actually teach and operate.
Theaters, PACs, houses of worship, and multipurpose venues where acoustic performance, lighting control, and system reliability are non-negotiable. Designed with dedicated modeling tools, not assumptions.
Hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues where AV and low voltage systems define the guest experience — and where a poorly documented system becomes an operational headache for years.
Why RDG
RDG works directly inside Revit alongside MEP teams — not as a background reference, but as an active participant in the coordination process. Most AV designers can't do this. We can.
There's a difference between a system that was specified and a system that was designed. RDG produces documentation that reflects real design decisions — not a product list with a drawing attached.
Contract-based engagements mean you get expert design capacity when a project demands it — without the overhead of a full-time hire. Overflow capacity, project-by-project, with consistent quality.
About RDG
Founder & Lead Designer — Rogue Design Group
AV and low voltage design professional with 10+ years of experience across commercial, education, hospitality, and performance venue projects.
RDG was founded on a simple observation: AV and low voltage design is consistently the most underdocumented scope on commercial construction projects — and the consequences show up in the field, in change orders, and in systems that technically work but weren't really designed.
With a background that spans AV system design, theatrical production systems, and two years inside the technology department of a multi-discipline MEP engineering firm, RDG brings a perspective most design firms don't have: the ability to work inside BIM environments alongside mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers — not just hand off a PDF and hope it coordinates.
RDG serves AV integrators who need overflow design capacity, MEP and architecture firms that need AV and low voltage coordination on complex projects, and owners who want independent design expertise without a full-time hire.
